APT has always been forward-thinking in how we operate. We essentially pioneered the concept of working remotely in this industry long before it became a necessity by establishing and maintaining a 100% virtual office workforce since 2002. APT opened our corporate office in Waterford, Connecticut in 2019 to offer a hybrid option for staff and a convenient place for client meetings. We are doing business as APT Engineering for work in New York State and APT Engineering and Environmental for our work in New England.
Our staff, which currently totals 28 employees, is generally split evenly, on the technical level, between the engineering and environmental practices. The APT culture promotes a seat at the table for everyone, respectful dialogue, open-mindedness, and encouragement to express our passion for the important work that we do every day. APT’s staff consists of specialists in civil, telecom and structural engineering, natural resource sciences, graphics and technical support, allowing us to assemble experienced, multi-discipline teams customized to handle complex projects in a time- and cost-efficient manner. By breaking down traditional silos, we have developed a collaborative work environment where each team member is allowed an opportunity to contribute their unique skillset and insight, which educates us as individuals and ultimately elevates our collective game.
We are not bashful of our small size. In fact, we believe it to be a positive for our clients because it means they consistently get “A Team” service on every project. It also allows us to be nimble and adapt quickly to the changing landscape of consulting. At the same time, we also are not shy about thinking big. Our expertise allows us to explore the full range of possibilities for the broadest positive impacts – for our clients and for the communities we serve.
