Structural Engineering Prudential Center

APT prepared a structural analysis and rooftop mount modification drawings for a utility company’s equipment modifications atop the 700’± tall Prudential Center building in Boston.

Rooftop mount modifications were required to accommodate an increase in omni-directional antenna elevation to comply with FCC requirements.

APT conducted a structural mapping of the existing steel rooftop mounts, steel rooftop dunnage frame and host support structure. APT’s mount analysis and modification design were prepared in accordance with ANSI-TIA-222-H ‘Structural Standard for Antenna Supporting Structures and Antennas and Small Wind Turbine Support Structures’, and the Massachusetts State Building Code (780-CMR, 9th Ed), utilizing RISA 3D three-dimensional analysis and design software.
