Utility-grade Solar Developments

APT has provided environmental, permitting, civil engineering, stormwater management design, and construction monitoring services on more than 60 utility-scale electric generating solar facilities in Connecticut totaling over 225 megawatts of power. Beginning with environmental due diligence activities and natural resource investigations, APT has prepared initial concept plans for vetting before advancing to permit- level drawings for local and state reviews and approvals. Services include: wetland inspections/delineations; vernal pool surveys and impacts analyses; core forest evaluations; cultural resource assessments; consultations with state and federal agencies; preparation of environmental assessments; visibility evaluations and mitigation plans; slope analyses; site/civil design; stormwater management design; permitting; construction drawings; and, monitoring during multiple phases of construction.

These projects required full environmental reviews, engineering designs, and permitting services, as well as filings with the Connecticut Siting Council. Project sites have ranged from former agricultural fields to commercially developed parcels to landfills.

“I have found APT to be an excellent corporate partner and solid corporate citizen, as well as an environmentally conscientious service provider and an advocate for its clients’ interests.”
